As the independent Austrian Association to Promote Russian Language and Culture, we are committed to building open, sustainable cultural bridges – beyond political tensions and polarization. We see ourselves as a platform for language and cultural exchange and for bringing together people from different backgrounds.
- Meeting through Language: Understanding beyond Politics
With intensive week-long offline seminars and online semester courses, we give people of all ages and skill levels access to the Russian language – deliberately avoiding any political context. We provide a space for exchange, curiosity, and intercultural understanding, without influence or ideologization. - Qualified Teaching: Practical Focus and Depth
Our intensive seminars (e. g., in Vienna again from February 2 to 7, 2026) and online courses (semester courses at levels A1/A2/B1/B2, conversation, grammar) are characterized by:- lessons in small groups (2 – 10 people),lecturers with university training and native speakers,a strong focus on oral language practice, and cultural background knowledge.
- Openness and Access
Whether you are a beginner with no prior knowledge or an advanced learner, we have the right course for you. Our courses are flexible, even at short notice and without long-term commitments: intensive weeks directly in Vienna or ongoing online courses weekly or biweekly via Zoom. - Cultural Mediation in the broader Sense
We see language as an expression of cultural diversity. That is why we enrich our courses with events focusing on film, literature, music, dance, and regional studies – as connecting elements between people and culture. - Quality Standards and Services as we understand it
All successfully completed seminars are documented with certificates of attendance in German and Russian (upon request also available in English upon). Teaching materials and accompanying content are included in the fee; there are no additional (hidden) costs.
In Conclusion
Our mission is to promote understanding by combining language and cultural education. We build bridges between people – with a clear distinction from political instrumentalization. Our programs aim to develop long-term, binding language skills, in combination with intercultural depth and active openness. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our groups soon!
